Gluten-free vegetarian and vegan plates in St. Louis

Labeled GF items at plant kitchens — rice paper, corn tortillas, curries on rice. Shared kitchens unless we say otherwise. Confirm if you have celiac.

What this list is

STL Vegetarian is a vegetarian and vegan directory first. Gluten-free is a filter on top of that: kitchens that actually mark GF plates, not a promise of a dedicated facility. Almost every room here shares a fryer, a board, or a steamer. If you have celiac, call before you go.

The easy first plates

Seedz in DeMun marks a gluten-free waffle and a GF bowl. Lona’s giant rice paper wrap in Benton Park is the naturally wheat-free order. Bombay Food Junkies on Olive will put the cauliflower bowl or a curry on rice — skip the naan. Taste of Lebanon on South Grand is falafel, hummus, and rice.

Corn tortillas and Thai

Frida’s and Diego’s in University City build vegan plates on corn tortillas. Fork & Stix on the Loop can do vegan khao soi on rice noodles if you confirm. Plant Craft in Sunset Hills is bowls and a burger without the bun.

Cook it at home

Jay’s International, Local Harvest, and Global Foods Kirkwood stock certified gluten-free pantry goods next to the vegan staples. In the directory, tap Vegan + GF or Vegetarian + GF — diet and gluten-free stack, they don’t replace each other.
